Sue studied Art and Design at Newcastle Poly, gaining her BA Hons in 1990, she continued to study in the North East, specialising in Painting and Sculpture for a further two years at Sunderland Poly.

After several years travelling in Europe, South East Asia and South America interspersed with various very boring office jobs, Sue settled in deepest, darkest , wettest mid-Wales. Here Sue worked for five years at the amazing Spectrum Gallery spending most of her wages on jewellery and the original paintings of Paul Martinez-Frias. Sue's original paintings from this time mirror her surroundings - living in the tiny and very beautiful slaters'village of Corris.

Six months ago Sue moved with her partner Dave, Mum Ann and two dogs Lola and Ruby to the Yorkshire Dales. The big skies, beautiful landscapes, friendly people and local animal population provide Sue with her inspiration and this change in environment is most definitely reflected in her work .
