Events Photographer edwin devey invites suggestions from you We are looking for the most original idea for an event for charity. When all suggestions have been sifted for those that are actually possible and viable, we may well put them to the vote for the most original and award prizes. (No promises until we've seen the type of things coming forward) Remember, the idea must be at least practical enough (and legal) and must be viable to stand a chance of free coverage. Send your idea to Charity Challenge Featured Artist - Sue Dewhurst Sue studied Art and Design at Newcastle Poly, gaining her BA Hons in 1990, she continued to study in the North East, specialising in Painting and Sculpture for a further two years at Sunderland Poly. After several years travelling in Europe, South East Asia and South America interspersed with various very boring office jobs, Sue settled in deepest, darkest , wettest mid-Wales. Here Sue worked for five years at the amazing Spectrum Gallery spending most of her wages on jewellery and the original paintings of Paul Martinez-Frias. Sue's original paintings from this time mirror her surroundings - living in the tiny and very beautiful slaters'village of Corris. Six months ago Sue moved with her partner Dave, Mum Ann and two dogs Lola and Ruby to the Yorkshire Dales. The big skies, beautiful landscapes, friendly people and local animal population provide Sue with her inspiration and this change in environment is most definitely reflected in her work. Did you know that it is now easier than ever to get your event covered by an event photographer in the North West? The benefits are obvious. If you have a photographer on board, then you will have someone used to making pictures available for the press, and submitting them in the proper format. They are then more likely use your pictures giving you the publicity you deserve. Advertising that an event photographer is in attendance, is an added attraction and shows that as an organiser you are covering all bases. It also serves to provide records of events that can be invaluable in capitalising on successes in the future and avoiding mistakes from the past. So!
